Know, Consider, Present
Christianity is often misunderstood - because Christ followers don't "know" who we are in Christ!
Christ followers have already died to sin (and baptism reminds us of that fact) - vs. 3-4
An "if/then" argument - vs. 5
Who is "our old self"? - vs. 6a
2 Deductions:
1. Through His victory over sin and death, Jesus has rendered Satan powerless - vs. 6b
a. What is our "body of sin" Are we: body, mind spirit...or spirit, soul, body?
b. Christ followers are waiting on glorified bodies!
2. In our old bodies (in Adam) - people are slaves to sin...but in Jesus, Christ followers are no longer slaves to sin! Vs. 6c
