Live Generously
God is the most lavish giver that the world has ever known. His grace makes us radically unselfish and sacrificial in our stewardship (or management) of our time, talent, and treasure.
Whether it’s our tithe (a Biblical term that means 10%) or our offerings (the Biblical description of gifts that are over and above the title) of the Old Covenant in the Old Testament or the even more deeply generous, cheerful giving of the New Covenant that Jesus established in the New Testament, we love to simply respond to Jesus by giving to the work of God’s kingdom.
God promises in His word, that we cannot out-give Him. He takes each of our gifts and turns them into incredible, impactful ministry that transforms our community and our world!
Ways to Give
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:6–8 (ESV)
