Student Ministries Pastor

Andrew Smith

Hello! My name is Andrew Smith, and I am the Student Ministries Pastor here at Orchards Community Church! I am originally from Northern California, and I grew up in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I grew up in a Christian household and accepted Christ when I was very young. While living in California, I met and married my wife, and we now have two beautiful kids. After being in California, my wife and I wanted to move up into the Pacific Northwest to be closer to family. When God called us to the LC Valley and Orchards, we were so excited to see what God was going to do so we moved from California in 2022.

After graduating High School in California, I moved to Chicago Illinois where I attended Moody Bible Institute for college. After Moody and receiving my Bachelors in Pastoral Studies, I moved back to California and lived in the Central Valley, where I worked at two churches over the span of 6 years with youth and young adults. In 2023, I completed my Master’s in Ministry Studies with an emphasis in Pastoral Studies from Moody Theological Seminary. As a Student Ministries Pastor, I am massively passionate about discipleship and teaching God’s Word. I want to help students in all stages of their schooling, to love God and love others as they live every day in the world. I love any opportunity to care for students and families as they follow God’s call in their lives. I also love good music, sports, golf, fishing, good movies, and most of all spending time with my wife and the kids.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me and hear my heart for what God is doing here at Orchards. Please come find me and introduce yourself! I am truly excited to get to meet you soon! Please feel free to email me with any questions, comments, or concerns. God Bless you and I hope to see you soon!

Hope to see you soon!

Two Youth Groups, Same Night

Middle School Ministry | High School Ministry

OCC Youth Group is for students 6th through 12th grade. We desire for middle school and high school students to be connected to each other, grow spiritually, and become more like Christ. Students can expect to have an engaging and fun night with other friends their own age, along with snacks, games, worship, a Bible lesson and small group time.

  • High School Ministries (Grades 9-12)  and Middle School Ministries (Grades 6-8) both meet every Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30pm.
  • Youth Bible Study is Sunday morning during the 8 am service. All youth are invited to first join in with worship music as one church body, and then will be invited to the Youth Chapel for donuts and a Bible study.
Stay connected with OCC Student Ministries by following us on social media to keep up with our latest events, exciting news, and behind-the-scenes happenings.

Through the Eyes of My Parents

Come join us for this 7 week series starting August 6th! “Through the Eyes of My Parents” asks the questions of why do parents do what they do?  The goal is to look at what is God’s design for parents and kids as well as to try to look at life through the eyes of our parents so we can better understand, respect, obey, and listen to our parents.
High School Ministry and Middle School Ministry is on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm. See you all there!
