Forrest Jenkins


Hi, my name is Forrest Jenkins, your Connections Pastor here at Orchards Community Church! My family has attended OCC since 2006 and I came on staff full-time in 2022. I grew up in the area and attended the Asotin-Anatone School District, also being active in 4-H and FFA for many years. Michelle and I were married, having been high school sweethearts, and made our first home together in Pasco, WA where I completed the Ironworkers local 14 apprenticeship. Soon after, we moved back to Clarkston when presented the opportunity to start a career in insurance and financial services. Eventually I retired and sold the business after thirty-eight years, pursuing a new opportunity to join staff at OCC. Michelle and I have three grown children living in the greater Spokane area with ten grandchildren we love to visit with monthly!

A large part of my ministry here at OCC is engaging people relationally and encouraging them in their walk with Christ. This is best accomplished by creating a relational culture and connecting the unconnected, which are both things I am passionate about. Ultimately I want to strengthen families within our church, always pointing them toward Christ Jesus!

Our groups and studies are a place where people can get connected, build relationships and spiritually develop. Jesus used the small group as a discipling model as did the early church. We find it to be a place where people can be transformed into wholeness and maturity within an atmosphere of honest, open and caring relationships.

Grab your sweetheart and come on out February 8th at 6 pm for the 3rd Annual Date Night here at OCC. There will be dinner, a HUGE dessert bar, and OCC’s version of the Newlywed Game!
